She owned the Runway!

My flip flop placed 2nd in the first heat race, but was slower than the rest of the cars. I said it was because "She was just making sure everyone got a good look at her" lol

And my friend said she was "Slow with Style" and as any girl who love's shoes knows...a cute shoe deserves a good slow look lol.

Anyway I did win most Awesome car!!!!! That's all I really cared about anyway lol.

This is a pic of my shoe with her wheels on and all glossed up. And this is a pic of me and our Cub Master, the reason I entered the derby. We are a bunch a goof balls and have a great time. He is giving me my award and as you can see were both really excited!

Just need some wheels

Well it's all done except for the wheels! I'm so in love with my car. It's totally me and even if I don't win on Saturday, I'll have the cutest car out there!

The Thong part is scrap ribbon I had in my stash. The design is cut from Cindy Loo (I think it is anyway) duplicated and welded. The hibiscus is from Lifes a beach. Cut out on contact paper and then stamped with Black Soot Distress ink. The flower is detachable and is a prima flower. Just need to add the wheels and I'm ready to hit the track!

Such a Girl

So after a little taunting and teasing from the male den leaders in our Cub Scout pack I decided to enter the Pine Wood derby this coming weekend. And of course I'm going to do it ANDI STYLE!!! So After thinking about it... I'm going to be the only "girl" racing... I've gotta represent right and go super girly. Well 2 of my loves come into play here... I LOVE flip flops and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pink!!!! So my "Car" is a PINK Flip Flop!!! So here's the work in progress!

Block 3 is almost finished

Here's March's block. It's number 3 and I'm LOVING IT!!! This one went together so well. It'll be so pretty once's the edges are on it.

Heart Song

This is the card I made for my Best friend over the loss of her nephew.

The sentiment say's....A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you've forgotten the words

The hearts and notes are from the Disney Hannah Montana cart. I put the sentiment through the cuttle bug and then inked the embossing with TH Antique Linen distressed ink. The edges of the frame and the heart and inside are inked with Worn Lipstick distressed ink. The frame and heart are glimmer misted in Star Fish.

Thinking of you puppy

Ok so it seem's that sympathy cards have been the cards I do the most. I can't believe how many people I have had to make them for in less than a year. This one was a really hard one for me. My best friend's 5 year old nephew passed away suddenly a few weeks ago. And they did not have a funeral but a Celebration of his life. This is a card I made for the parents. In my family we release balloons at the wake and we watch them until we can't see them anymore.

I was going through my digi's and when I saw this pup...I just knew that this was it. I had the sentiment picked out already and I knew exactly what papers I would use so I matched the balloons to the paper.

Scrappy Card

This is a digi stamp that I colored with pencils and gamsol. I went through my scraps and found stuff that matched and the cute flower ribbon matches perfectly. This card came together in minutes. The coloring is what took the longest and that was about 10 mins.

Bunny Head

Heres a super quick easel card I made. I used my gypsy for this one because I wanted to weld a carrot at the bottom of the card.

I used a long skinny rectangle base, added the carrot from Create a critter and put the middle of the carrot on the edge of the rectangle and welded.

I cut the bunny head from doodle charms and glimmer misted him and then reverse embossed her using the Spots and Dots folder. I colored her nose and inked her ears with TH Worn lipstick distress ink and then I added gem brads for the eye's, glimmer misted a few prima flowers and added the pearl brad.

The carrot is from Create a critter, I cut the orange layer and used my cricut marker to write Happy Easter using Calligraphy Collection. Then cut the base in green glimmer misted it and ran it through the cuttle bug using D'vine swirls. Glued it to the carrot base on the card and then pop dotted the orange layer of the carrot on for dimension.

Super easy super fast and Super Cute!!!
